Whether it’s watching the Fall colors whiz by on a scenic ride on the beautiful Lake Minnetonka bike path or sampling exotic flavors from a sustainable restaurant, the North Star Chapter hosts an outing to please every palate.
With fall colors set to peak in late September, there’s no better time to join us in appreciating Nature’s splendor. This Saturday (9/28), join fellow Sierra Club members and North Star Chapter staff in a leisurely 15-mile ride (30 mile round trip) along the Lake Minnetonka LRT bike path from Hopkins to Victoria.
At the end of our journey lies Carver County’s best burger and a beautiful view of Lake Steiger from the patio at Vic’s Bar and Grill. For those vegetarians among us, never fear; I’m told Vic makes a mean veggie burger as well.
If you want to join the bike outing, RSVP by email to Outings Leader Joyce Icardo.
If you’re looking for a less aerobic way to enjoy yourself, join us Wednesday (10/2) at 7:00PM for authentic Indian cuisine and stimulating conversation at Gandhi Mahal. This little gem, located on 27th & Lake, offers delicious food with a mission: “…to provide high quality, healthy food that promotes a peaceful mind and experience in a soothing environment”.
Their policy of environmental responsibility and sustainable, ethical economics will ensure that your conscience feels as good as your taste buds. If you’d like to join us, please contact Jessica Willey by this Friday (9/27).
This is but a taste of the exciting things to come in the Outings arena, so stay tuned for updates and stay classy Minneapolis.
