San Francisco Connects with Transit to Green Space

Outside Magazine recently published an article on getting to parks in the San Francisco area using transit. It particularly features the group, Transit & Trails, which has created interactive maps and web features to make it easy for people to figure out destinations and routes. They work closely with the Bay area transit agencies, and are helping with efforts in other communities as well – including the North Star Chapter’s Transit to Green Space project, mentioned in the article. Cofounder Ryan Branciforte has outlined the program to us on a Minneapolis visit, and staff and volunteers will take part in a briefing mid April. So – getting to our parks using transit may become easier in the near future. Let’s hope.
