A transit-accessible and fun event is planned for Powderhorn Park in Minneapolis on June 11, 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., to help celebrate National Get Outdoors Day. REI is the event planner, with co-sponsorship by Minnesota DNR and Minneapolis Parks and Recreation. According to REI, people can take part in numerous activities related to: camping, paddling, geocaching, bike maintenance, fishing, birding, nature, outdoor photography, kids’ outdoor activities, and more! The event is completely free.

Bicyclists can use cyclopath.org for planning their trip. REI bike technicians will be on hand to do a free safety check on your bike for all attendees who ride to the event.
