Governor Dayton issues Executive Orders for Energy Conservation

On Friday, Governor Mark Dayton signed three executive orders that will collectively make Minnesota’s state government more energy efficient and environmentally responsible. Margaret Levin, State Director of the Sierra Club North Star Chapter, issued the following statement in response:

“Governor Dayton’s executive orders are an important step forward for Minnesota’s clean energy economy. The orders will help put thousands of Minnesotans back to work, while saving money for Minnesota taxpayers and making important strides toward addressing the devastating impacts of climate change. We are grateful for the Governor’s leadership on this issue, and look forward to working with state officials to achieve the goals outlined by today’s action.”
